What does "youth-friendly" mean?

Some of our films and events are listed as "youth-friendly" access filter. This denotes films and programs which are designed with young viewers (under age 18) in mind. Please note that online film screenings have not been rated by Consumer Protection BC.

Films not listed as "youth-friendly" may contain content that is not suitable for film-lovers under age 18. Please look for Content Advisories or feel free to ask us if you are uncertain about which films may be right for you or your fellow viewers.

How do I use my digital ticket(s) or pass(es)? 

You’ll get a confirmation email with all the details you need. For online film VOD film screening, you will receive this email shortly after purchase. For Zoom Workshops, you will receive your email about one (1) hour before the workshop is scheduled to begin.

If technology fails us, head over to your Elevent account and find your voucher number there in your order history, then hit WATCH on our homepage and you’ll be prompted to enter your ticket/voucher number where it says Ticket Holders on the bottom left of the screen.

If you have a Festival Pass, you can hit WATCH on our homepage and you’ll be prompted to log in where it says Member Login on the bottom right of the screen. You will login using your Elevent account information.

How do I watch a film?

Option 1 Once you have your confirmation email, click on the big pink button and you’ll be redirected to the WATCH page.

Option 2 If you didn’t get the email, head over to your Elevent account and find your voucher number in your order history, then hit WATCH on our homepage and you’ll be prompted to enter your ticket/voucher number where it says Ticket Holders on the bottom left of the screen.

I can’t find my virtual event confirmation email, what do I do?
